Detached homes, townhouses and some condos and apartments, mostly from the 1980s and early 1990s. Most street names start with Sun (Sunlake, Sunmills, Sunset), which makes Sundance listings easy to spot.
Schools
Sundance School and Fish Creek School serve elementary students, with more options in nearby communities.
Parks, shopping and amenities
Lake Sundance is a private, residents only lake with a beach club, sandy beaches, swimming, fishing and non motorized boating in summer, and skating and hockey in winter. Fish Creek Provincial Park is on the north edge, and Sikome Lake and the YMCA in Shawnessy are close.
Getting around
Macleod Trail and Stoney Trail are close, and buses connect to the Red Line C-Train stations to the west. Confirm routes with Calgary Transit.

Families who want lake life and Fish Creek Park, and downsizers who want an established community.
Before you buy in Sundance
Lake access is run through a homeowners association with an annual fee. Ask for the current amount and what it covers before you write an offer, and check whether the home is close to one of the lake access points. Homes from the 1980s can need roofs, windows or furnaces, so a good inspection matters here.
School designations and transit routes change. Confirm your address with the Calgary Board of Education, Calgary Catholic School District and Calgary Transit.
